I am proud to be writing to you as the newly appointed Deputy Head of Laude British School of Vila –real. I am aware that many of you already know me as the Head of Sixth Form at our school but I would like to take this opportunity to express how delighted I am to be taking up this new role in our school.
I have worked at the school for ten years, both as a teacher in Secondary and as part of the Senior Management Team. Over this time there have been many changes and I feel that this school has evolved to become a truly outstanding school, with our students being effectively prepared to step into their futures as confident, pro-active and multi-lingual citizens ready to take on the challenges of the world outside.
Preparing our students for this final step is a process that starts when the students join us in Primary and Infants, and involves all our staff and parents with their support and guidance to ensure the success of all of our students. My role until now has been clearly focused on the Secondary students and I am now looking forward to working with you all in my wider role as Deputy Head.
My name is Alejandra and I am currently a Year 13 student at LAUDE The British School of Villa-real. I have been part of this school for now 15 years, and I can proudly say that this school is my second home. I can still remember the fist day of school when I was three years old; I entered the classroom and felt so nervous that I decided to sit down in one of the small tables to eat the cookies my mum had prepared for me. Minutes later, I was surrounded by friends which are still my friends today. Next year I’m heading off to University like most of my school colleagues but I’m 100% sure that we will keep in touch no matter what. In this school, I have learnt many different things: the value of friendship, kindness and honesty… which I’m sure will be with me in this new stage of life. Furthermore and in conclusion, I would like to say that I will always be thankful to my parents for providing me with the opportunity to attend a British School and in particular BSV, where I have met the best teachers and have developed friendships for life.

Head Girl 2016-2017
I first came to BSV in Year 3 - I can’t believe it has been 10 years since then. It has been a wonderful experience and this journey has fulfilled my expectations. I am particularly grateful for all the opportunities given to me, and the support I received from the members of staff. However, my favorite aspect of this school is how international it is - we are bilingual from a young age and we have the option to take up even more languages as we grow up. I will always be thankful to have been part of this community.
